An Open Letter Appeal for Pardon and Removal of Suspension Due to Final Exams Sign out

“To err is human, but to forgive is divine.”

Sincerely and humbly appealing for consideration to pardon and remove the suspension imposed on students due to the memo of wild celebration.

On September 25th, the Faculty of Engineering UNICAL Pioneer Set perseverance and resilience shone brighter than ever as we stood on the brink of graduation, having navigated:
– An arduous 6 to 10 years for some pursuing this degree(B.Eng.).
– A supposed 5-year course that seemed to last forever.
– Countless assignments, courses, continuous assessment, exams, defenses, and seminars.
– Pre Degree, Stepped-down, ASUU strikes, and the COVID-19 pandemic era.

Our joy and relief knew no bounds when we received news of NUC accreditation, paving the way for COREN accreditation. We celebrate not just our personal achievements but also the University’s triumph.

Through the heat of the moment, our excitement got the better of us. We understand that our actions may have caused disruptions and breached university regulations. However, we assure you that our intentions were pure and driven by euphoria, not malice.

We, the students of the University of Calabar, particularly the Faculty of Engineering, have demonstrated unwavering dedication and perseverance. We are proud to be part of this institution and committed to upholding its values.

We appeal to your compassionate and motherly/fatherly consideration to:
1. Pardon our transgressions.
2. Remove the suspension imposed.
3. Allow us to continue our academic journey without hindrance and graduate properly.

Your forgiveness will:
– Reinforce our faith in the university’s leadership.
– Strengthen our resolve to excel academically.
– Serve as a testament to your commitment to students’ well-being.

Thank you for your understanding and consideration. We look forward to your positive response.

Yours Faithfully,
From A Concerned Student.
