The National Director of Support Groups of the CityBoy Movement (CBM), Hon. (Dr.) Martha Agba, has joined members of the National Working Committee, National Directors, and State Directors at the opening ceremony of the 2026 CityBoy Movement National Retreat held at the State House Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The three-day retreat, themed “Youth. Unity. Action.”, brought together leaders of the movement from the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to review the organisation’s activities, strengthen internal coordination, and develop strategies for effective grassroots mobilisation in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Dr. Martha Agba Participates in High-Level Leadership Sessions
As the National Director of Support Groups, Dr. Martha Agba participated in the opening sessions alongside other top leaders of the movement, including:
- Barr. Seyi Tinubu, Patron and Chairman of the CBM Governing Board;
- Hon. Ayodele Olawande, Minister of Youth Development and Co-Patron;
- Hon. Amir Kashim Shettima (Jnr.), Co-Patron;
- Hon. Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, Director-General of the CityBoy Movement;
- Members of the National Working Committee and state leadership of the organisation.
The retreat is expected to enhance leadership capacity, promote collaboration among support groups nationwide, and equip participants with innovative strategies for organisational growth and youth engagement.
Focus on Youth Mobilisation and Nation Building
Speaking after the first day’s activities, Dr. Agba described the retreat as a significant platform for strengthening unity within the movement and aligning collective efforts towards national development.
According to her, the gathering provides an opportunity to deepen collaboration among support groups and reinforce the movement’s commitment to supporting the policies and programmes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
She reaffirmed her dedication to expanding and strengthening the CityBoy Movement’s support structures across Nigeria while empowering more young people to actively participate in governance and nation-building initiatives.
“This retreat presents another opportunity to build stronger networks, enhance youth participation, and deepen grassroots mobilisation in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda,” she stated.
Strengthening Grassroots Engagement Nationwide
The CityBoy Movement National Retreat is expected to produce actionable strategies aimed at increasing youth involvement in governance, fostering inclusive leadership, and promoting national unity.
Political observers believe the retreat will further consolidate the movement’s grassroots structures ahead of future political engagements and reinforce its role in mobilising support for the administration’s developmental agenda.
Dr. Martha Agba also emphasized the importance of inclusive leadership and sustained engagement with young Nigerians, noting that empowering youths remains critical to achieving long-term national progress.
