Cristiano Ronaldo Responds to Critics: “That Will Never Work”
Cristiano Ronaldo has addressed the criticism he has faced from some media channels, insisting that attempts to bring him down will never succeed.
The Portuguese superstar acknowledged that certain channels have repeatedly targeted him over the years, but made it clear that he refuses to be defined by the negativity surrounding him.
“I know very well that some channels enjoy attacking me and have been trying to ‘kill’ me for years. But that will never work,” Ronaldo said.
Rather than focusing on those who criticize him, Ronaldo said he chooses to remember the people who continue to support and love him. The forward explained that those positive relationships are what remain important to him.
“What stays engraved in my memory, though, are the people who love me, not the people who don’t,” he added.
Ronaldo also emphasized his approach to dealing with situations that are within and outside his control. The veteran star said he focuses his energy on the things he can influence while refusing to worry about matters beyond his control.
“What I can control, I control, and what I can’t control, I don’t,” Ronaldo stated.
His comments underline his determination to remain focused despite continued criticism, while placing greater importance on the support he receives from those who appreciate his career and achievements.
