“I Don’t Blame Girls Making Money Off Men” -Tacha
Tacha (Natacha Akide) Former Big Brother Naija star, has spoken out about women who rely on wealthy men to fund their lavish lifestyles.
In an interview with UK-based media personality Madame Joyce, Tacha explained that she doesn’t blame girls for doing this. According to her, there’s a lot of pressure to look good in the public eye, and that can lead some to seek financial support from rich men.
According to the Former BBN Star, she said,
“In Nigeria, people expect public figures to look great, but brands don’t always pay well. So, when you see girls with rich men, what do you expect?”
When asked directly if some girls make money from men, Tacha replied,
“Yes! Some girls do make money by following men. But I won’t blame anyone, because in the end, you need to look good.”
Tacha also revealed why she moved to the UK. She said the influencer scene in Nigeria isn’t as glamorous as it seems, and the pay has become disappointing.
She explained,
“I’ve conquered the Nigerian market, and being in the UK, I’m still representing Nigeria. Moving here doesn’t mean I won’t still do Naija deals if the money is right.”
“Influencing in Nigeria looks nice, but behind the scenes, it’s not as pretty. Imagine being offered N6m (about $3,000) for six months to post just two videos a month. It’s not enough.”
