The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a new date for the commencement of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration. Initially scheduled to begin on Friday, January 31, the registration will now start on Monday, February 3.
This update was communicated by JAMB’s Public Communications Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, in a statement released on Friday. According to Benjamin, the change was necessitated by critical adjustments in the registration process, following recent developments, including the suspension of specific law programs at selected universities as directed by the Council for Legal Education.
Furthermore, the Board uncovered fraudulent practices by certain Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres, which had manipulated their approvals through deceptive means. Consequently, JAMB is conducting a thorough review to disapprove such centres.
Benjamin acknowledged the potential inconvenience caused by these changes but assured candidates and stakeholders that the additional time would allow for necessary modifications, ensuring a smooth registration process for all applicants.
