Mystery as Three Children Are Found Dead Inside Woman’s Home in Anambra

Three children have been confirmed dead after they were found unconscious inside the residence of a woman popularly known in her community as a native doctor, or “Ezenwanyi,” in Umuoduba Village, Ideani, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The tragic incident, which occurred on Wednesday, has thrown residents into shock and raised fresh concerns as police launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths.

The Anambra State Police Command confirmed that four children were discovered unconscious at the woman’s residence. They were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced three of them dead, while the fourth child remains in critical condition and is receiving medical treatment.

The woman has since been taken into police custody as investigators work to determine what led to the incident. Authorities have yet to establish the exact cause of the children’s deaths, and no official conclusion has been reached.

Residents said the horrifying discovery was made in the early hours of Wednesday, triggering panic across the community.

An eyewitness said the children were found lying unconscious inside the compound.

> “Four children were found unconscious in the woman’s residence. While three had already died before they were discovered, the fourth child, who was still breathing, was rushed to the hospital for urgent medical attention,” the eyewitness said.

The police said investigations are ongoing and urged members of the public to remain calm and avoid spreading unverified information until the outcome of the investigation is made public.
