NAIS World Wide Honours C’River Labour Party Acting Chairman,Eugene Besong Obia

In a night marked by celebration and gratitude, the National Association of Iso-Bendeghe Students (NAIS) World Wide, under the leadership of Comr Zephaniah Bobua, confers an Award of Honour to Mr. Eugene Besong Obia, the Cross River State Acting Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), for his moral and financial support towards the growth and development of the association.
The award ceremony, a key highlight of the association’s Dinner/Award Night, took place on 19th August, 2024, at the UU Concept, Orange Roof Resort in Iso-Bendeghe, Boki Local Government Area.
At the heart of the evening’s proceedings was the recognition of Acting State Chairman, whose leadership and support have significantly contributed to the success of NAIS.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Obia expressed heartfelt appreciation to the leadership and members of NAIS for the honor, reaffirming his commitment to continuing his efforts in aiding the association’s mission.
“I am truly honored to receive this award. The youth are the backbone of our community, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure that they have the resources and opportunities they need to succeed. I will continue to stand by NAIS and support its noble cause,” he remarked, drawing applause from the gathered audience.
Comr Bobua, in his address, highlighted the significance of recognizing individuals like Mr. Obia, whose contributions have been vital to the association’s growth.
“Mr. Eugene Besong Obia’s contributions to NAIS have been nothing short of exemplary. His support has empowered us to achieve our goals and make a meaningful impact in the lives of many students. We are grateful for his commitment and proud to honor him tonight,” President Bobua stated.
Mr Obia’s leadership within the Labour Party and his philanthropic efforts have left an indelible mark on the Iso-Bendeghe community. As the head of the Labour Party in the state, he has been a vocal proponent of youth empowerment, education, and social justice, and his moral and financial support to NAIS has been crucial in helping the association fulfill its mission of nurturing the next generation of leaders.
In addition to Mr Obia, several other individuals and organisations were recognised for their contributions to the development of Iso-Bendeghe and the support of NAIS.
