Veteran Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo, popularly known as RMD, has opened up about a heartfelt gesture that reflects the deep bond he shares with his wife, Jumobi.
Speaking during an interview on The Morayo Show with Morayo Afolabi-Brown, the 65-year-old screen icon disclosed that he handed over the first ₦100 million cheque he ever received to his wife.
Describing himself as an “incurable romantic,” RMD said expressing love through thoughtful gifts comes naturally to him because gift-giving is his wife’s primary love language.
The award-winning actor explained that seeing his wife appreciate the things he buys for her gives him immense joy, adding that one of the greatest compliments she pays him is reminding him that many of the valuable things she owns were gifts from him.
RMD noted that his decision to give her the cheque was not about showing off wealth but about expressing love and appreciation for the woman who has stood by him over the years.
The revelation has since sparked reactions online, with many fans praising the actor’s openness about love, marriage, and generosity, while others described the gesture as a rare display of romance.
