Enhanced Security Measures Implemented at University of Calabar
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Florence Obi, has directed that all entry and exit points of the University community be secured with immediate effect. This measure is aimed at addressing the recent surge in theft and vandalism of critical infrastructure within the University.

According to a release signed by the University Registrar, Mr. Gabriel Egbe, all motorists and visitors will be subject to searches at entry and exit points. Motorists are required to present valid identity cards upon request, failing which their vehicles will be impounded, and they will face arrest and prosecution.
The University community, including staff, students, and visitors, is urged to cooperate with security personnel in carrying out this directive. The Acting Chief Security Officer has been instructed to ensure full compliance and bring defaulters to book.
