Why you should attend southern Senatorial District Security Town Hall meeting
The National Youth Council of Nigeria Cross River State Chapter has been on a tour across the senatorial district of the state to synthesize the general public, both indigenous and non-indigenous, of every senatorial district where the security town hall is hosted.
So far, the NYCN CRS has already accomplished two senatorial districts, which are the central and the northern senatorial districts of Cross River State. It was noted that each district has a massive population, containing both mothers,fathers, children, and youths of the communities. The events are coordinated by various youth leaders under the NYCN umbrella.
From the beginning of the event to the closing section of every security town hall meeting held in each senatorial district, traditional leaders,all security agencies,youth leaders from every community in the senatorial district, and non-indigene groups such as the Hausa and Fulani’s were present.
Opportunity was given to all security personnel,youths, women, and men to speak on challenges around their communities, and a lot of them stated their experiences and ways to tackle this problem.
On this note, the cry and desire to stabilize the security affairs of the central and northern senatorial districts are settled because the Deputy Governor was present, which was highly represented by his Chief Protocol, Mr. Modey. He assured the maximum response to tackle this security situation, as mentioned by the speakers from different categories of leadership.
While speaking at the town hall security meeting at Bekwara local government,northern senatorial district, he encouraged security forces to be fully strengthened, not just by the security agencies but by everyone around them to comply with the security agencies. The central and northern parts of the state are well-versed in security ethics, and the government is equally informed about their challenges. Next is the southern senatorial district.
