Cross river state government set rule to dispose refuse

This is to reiterate the State Government\’s earlier announcement on
regulations guiding refuse disposal within the Calabar metropolis. ‎

For the avoidance of doubt, the hours of 6pm to 10pm everyday is slated for
refuse disposal.

Please note that, enforcement agents will be stationed at strategic refuse
points to apprehend and prosecute defaulters.

Similarly, the government has put a total ban on all refuse scavengers, as their activities pose serious security concerns for citizens.

Those responsible are to desist forthwith as security agents have been mandated to arrest and prosecute perpetrators.
