Following the expiration of the Christmas and New Year\’s holidays as announced by the Management of the University of Calabar, the Institution Vice-Chancellor, Prof Florence Banku Obi has resumed functions in her office today 4th January 2024
The VC who obviously resumes with high spirits arrived at her office in the early hours of the day and discharged her official duties appropriately while welcoming her staff and visitors back from the holidays.
The workaholic VC who\’s stopping at nothing less to change the trajectory of the Institution and leadership generally has shown that true Leaders lead by example, thereby resuming first along with her staff to kick-start the operation of the citadel of academic excellence.
Obi who resumed very early in the morning was seen leaving the University just about 6 PM today.
It could be recalled that the institution\’s 2023/2024 academic calendar which commences on November 25th, 2023 had her staff and students vacated for the yuletide season on 21st December, 2023 to resume on January 3rd, 2024.
