PROTEST IS NOT THE SOLUTION – DG SACA
The Director General, State Agency for Control of Aids, Dr Charles Iwara has appealed to Cross Riverians not to join the proposed protest.
While addressing the press, he states that Protests has never solved problem of governance in our nation, rather it has caused several damage to the society.
In his words:
\”Cross River State is our own state and we have no other and we must protect it. We are yet to recover from the damages caused by the EndSars, e.g the chronicle office building, The infectious disease hospital, St Joseph Hospital Ikot Ene, WAEC office, just to mention but a few.\”
He further stated that The government of Prince BASSEY Otu in just one year has brought great transformation to the state, restoring the face of Cross River State in the world map, thereby building a new foundation for a greater Cross River State.
He urged that the youth should not join hands with the enemies of the state to destroy the awesome visible and palpable progress that has been made in one year by the Sweet Prince.
He stressed that Protests go with violence most times and violence give rise to traumatic experiences including open wounds and bleeding. We don’t want to add more to the already high HIV cases in the state.
Cross River has been known to be the most peaceful state and has been awarded as such, therefore let us be proud and patient with the Government of Senator Prince BASSEY Edet Otu for a greater Cross River State.
