Hon Minister of Works invites the Presidential Community Engagement Team and National Assembly Members for a two-day visit to Lagos State to inspect the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and engage stakeholders.
The Honourable Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, CON, members of the Presidential Community Engagement Team, and the National Assembly undertake an inspection of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway as part of efforts to address public concerns over flooding and strengthen stakeholder engagement.

The two-day visit to Lagos State also includes courtesy visits to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, to discuss collaborative measures on infrastructure development, environmental management, and flood mitigation.
Hon. Minister for Works noted that Lagos State is home to Nigerians from all six geopolitical zones, which is a reason for inviting the presidential community engagement team to engage communities across ethnic and regional lines in promoting shared responsibility for protecting public infrastructure.

The crucial part of the two-day visit is the stakeholders’ engagement aimed at creating awareness, encouraging proper waste disposal, discouraging the dumping of refuse into drainage channels and the blockage of manholes, while reinforcing that safeguarding national infrastructure is a collective responsibility.
