Ola of Lagos Reacts to Being Called ‘Olodo Uprising’

Written by Mary Bassey

Social media personality, Ola of Lagos, has reacted to the way some people perceive him because of his educational background and humble beginnings.

The influencer spoke about the issue during a livestream after he was asked whether he had ever felt underestimated because of where he came from.

Ola of Lagos said the comments do not particularly hurt him, but expressed surprise that some people still describe him as an “olodo uprising.”

According to him, some people assume that because he did not attend school, he should be regarded as a “riffraff.”

“The thing doesn’t really pain me but people use to think it does. Imagine mentioning me as olodo uprising,” he said.

The social media personality further argued that the way he has conducted and presented himself over time should make such assumptions about him inappropriate.

He added, “Because I didn’t go to school they think I am a riffraff. With the way I have packed myself, you are not supposed to call me that, but it’s fine.”

Ola of Lagos has built a strong presence on social media, particularly through his food and lifestyle content, gaining recognition for his distinctive personality and style.
