Dangote Industries Limited has maintained its position as Nigeria’s leading corporate brand for the ninth consecutive year, following the release of the 2026 Top 50 Brands Nigeria report.
The report placed Dangote Industries at the top of the ranking with a record Brand Strength Measurement (BSM) score of 89.7 out of 100, highlighting its strong reputation and influence in the Nigerian market.
The Group’s investments in key sectors, including petroleum refining, cement production, fertiliser, sugar, flour and petrochemicals, have contributed to its growing industrial presence and brand recognition.
A major highlight of the report is the emergence of Nigerian-owned companies ahead of foreign multinationals for the first time in the ranking’s history.
According to the assessment, indigenous companies secured 27 of the 50 positions, while multinational brands accounted for 23. This represents a shift from the 2025 edition, when both groups had 25 positions each.
MTN Nigeria ranked second with a score of 81.8, followed by Airtel with 76.3, Globacom with 76.1 and Access Bank with 74.7.
Other companies in the top 10 include Zenith Bank, BUA Group, FirstBank, Coca-Cola and United Bank for Africa (UBA).
The report also recognised Dangote as Nigeria’s most trusted brand, while MTN Nigeria emerged as the country’s most popular brand based on consumer recall.
The latest ranking highlights the growing influence of indigenous businesses and their increasing competitiveness across manufacturing, telecommunications, banking, energy and other sectors.
