Cross River State is seeking to obtain a loan of thirty-four billion.
The quest is outrageous and unacceptable.

Cross River State has one of the heaviest debtors States in the federation of Nigeria.
The CRS House of Assembly is the only organ that can approve such a loan.
However,22 members of the House of Assembly had been sacked by the federal High Court.
The House has 25 members and 22 are no longer members. The remaining three members cannot form a quorum to sit.
It follows that any loan abstained by the executive branch of Government without the approval of the House is illegal.
