Nigerian music stars have made a strong impression at the 2026 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA), with Davido, Tems, Phyno and other entertainers emerging as winners in various categories.
The awards ceremony was held on September 12, 2026, in Dallas, Texas, celebrating outstanding talents from Africa and the diaspora.
According to the published results, Davido won Album of the Year for his album 5ive, while Tems and Ruger emerged as winners of the Best Female West Africa and Best Male West Africa categories, respectively.
Phyno also secured the Best Male Rap Act award, while gospel singer Mercy Chinwo was recognised as the Best Gospel artiste.
Other Nigerian entertainers, including Fola, Patoranking, Real Warri Pikin and Victor Osimhen, also received honours at the ceremony.
The awards recognised artistes, entertainers and personalities across 41 categories.
