MTN CHAMPS Season 2 Kick off.

Governor of Cross River State, Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, flagged off the 2nd edition of the MTN CHAMPS season 2 tournament at the U. J. Esuene Stadium, Calabar.The Governor was represented by his deputy, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey.

The event started with dance display by Seagull Carnival Band and Diamond Band, accompanied by the Diamond Brass Band and Cross River State Dance Group.

The Grand Finale had great athletics both boys and girls from different parts of Nigeria.This event is a World ranking competition 2024 (World Athletics).
We had students from different reputable Secondary Schools in Calabar, Cross River State.

Mr Bambo Akani the CEO MTN CHAMPS appreciate the Cross River State Government for their support and commitment. Mr Bambo with excitement also applauded the participants wishing them success. He narrated his long time experience of sport in Cross River State even before he travel across the world.
Mr Bambo never regretted bringing the final to Cross River State because this is were football started in Nigeria (Cross River State)
