The Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME) has paid a courtesy visit to the management of the Cross River State Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency (MEDA) to forge a strategic collaboration. The meeting comes on the heels of the Agency’s impressive track record in driving the rapid growth of small enterprises across the state.
Speaking during the visit, the NASME Chapter Chairman, Declan Ogar, emphasized that the association remains fiercely dedicated to the growth, development, and advocacy for SMEs nationwide.
This strategic collaboration will further strengthen MSME development and create a more resilient ecosystem in Cross River State, Ogar stated.
Responding, the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of MEDA, Great Ogban, asserted that the partnership is a timely intervention that will significantly increase access to vital opportunities for local small businesses. He noted that the ultimate goal of this synergy is to boost the state’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and sustainably improve the livelihoods of its citizens.
As the country’s leading apex business membership organization for MSMEs, NASME continues to champion advocacy, capacity building, and market access. By collaborating with global partners like the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), NASME aims to leverage its robust network to bring sustainable growth to Cross River State’s entrepreneurial landscape through this new alliance with MEDA.
