The Supervisor for Education, Obudu Local Government Council, Hon. Becky Itakwu, has welcomed pupils and students of Obudu origin, both within and outside the Local Government Area, back to school for the new academic term.
In a resumption message issued on behalf of the Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Council, Hon. Amb. Peter A. Undiandeye, KSM, PhD, Itakwu congratulated learners on the commencement of the new term and urged them to approach their studies with renewed dedication, discipline and determination.
Itakwu Urges Students to Study Hard
The Education Supervisor encouraged pupils and students to take their academic responsibilities seriously and make the most of the teaching and learning opportunities available to them.
She described education as the bedrock of personal and societal development, stressing the importance of laying a solid foundation for a brighter future through hard work and commitment to learning.
Education Supervisor Commends Teachers
Itakwu also commended teachers across Obudu for their selflessness, steadfastness and commitment to the development of children under their care.
She urged teachers to continue adopting effective teaching methods and techniques that would make learning more engaging and impactful.
According to her, teachers have an important role to play in ensuring that pupils and students develop holistically and grow into responsible and worthy ambassadors of Obudu.
Obudu Council Reaffirms Support for Education
The Supervisor assured teachers and other stakeholders in the education sector of the Executive Chairman’s continued support for education in Obudu Local Government Area.
She said the council remains committed to strengthening the sector in ways that will enhance teaching and learning across the Local Government Area.
Parents, Teachers and Learners Urged to Work Together
Itakwu further called on pupils, students, teachers, parents and guardians to play their respective roles in ensuring a successful and productive academic term.
She emphasised the need for collaboration among all stakeholders in the teaching and learning process, noting that collective responsibility is essential to achieving meaningful educational outcomes and advancing the development of Obudu.
She wished all learners and teachers a successful, productive and result-oriented academic term.
