Rodri Transfer Saga Ends as Real Madrid Shift Focus

Real Madrid Rule Out Rodri Move as Club Focuses on Bernardo Silva Deal

Real Madrid have decided not to pursue a move for Manchester City midfielder Rodri during this summer’s transfer window, with the club’s hierarchy reportedly closing the door on a potential deal.

The decision comes despite recent speculation linking the Spanish midfielder with a move to the Santiago Bernabéu. Rodri has also confirmed that he was unaware of former presidential candidate Enrique Riquelme’s announcement suggesting he would bring the City star to Madrid if he won the club elections.

Following Florentino Pérez’s victory in the presidential race, Real Madrid have already made their plans clear. The club’s priority is understood to be a potential deal for Bernardo Silva, while negotiations or discussions regarding Rodri have remained completely quiet.

Rodri, who has established himself as one of the world’s best midfielders and won the Ballon d’Or, now faces an important decision about his future at Manchester City. The 29-year-old must choose whether to accept a new contract offer from the Premier League champions or continue his career elsewhere when his current deal expires in 2027.

For now, Real Madrid appear ready to move forward without the Spain international, focusing their efforts on other targets as they continue reshaping their squad for the future.
