SA Inter Party and Women Affairs meet leadership of IPAC

MEETING OF THE SPECIAL ADVISER TO THE GOVERNOR ON INTER-PARTY AND WOMEN AFFAIRS WITH ALL POLITICAL PARTIES THROUGH THE OFFICE OF THE INTER-PARTY ADVISORY COUNCIL.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Inter-Party and Women Affairs, Hon. Nkoyo Otu, on the 21st day of March 2024, convened a meeting with the leadership of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), a body saddled with the responsibility of promoting unity, peace and political stability across political parties.

The meeting was the first of its kind, as since the assumption of office as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Inter-Party and Women Affairs, it was the first face to face interaction between the Special Adviser and all leaders of political parties and stakeholders in the State, who were all present at the meeting.

The Special Adviser, Hon Nkoyo Otu whilst addressing all present, expressed her undiluted gratitude and appreciation to the Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu for the great opportunity bestowed on her to serve in this capacity. In her speech, the Special Adviser also stated that the essence of the meeting is for familiarization, better acquaintance and to bring to the awareness of the Council, the vision of the Governors led administration, “the People First Mantra” which is characterized by the inclusivity and unity of all political parties in the State.

The Special adviser to the Governor on Inter party and women affairs assured IPAC that her doors are always open at any point in time in other to coexist and build a work friendly environment at all times.

The State Chairman of Inter-Party Advisory Council,Engr Effiom Edet Okon, in his reply commended His Excellency, the Governor of Cross River State, for the support he showed the Council in the just concluded Intra-council elections which was successful, problem free and independent. The Chairman further pledged to support and cooperate with the newly appointed Special Adviser and ensure a smooth tenure full of accomplishments and achievements.

In a support statement by one of the major stakeholders of IPAC congratulated Hon. Nkoyo Otu as the first woman to assume the position of the SA inter party Affairs, stating that the SA\’s appointment has given them confidence and hope that their wives, sisters and daughters could be given an opportunity to serve the people of Cross River State someday not minding their gender.

Nkoyo Otu over her zeal and dedication towards achieving goals that has to do with the benefits and interest of Cross Riverians,he charged his colleague to keep to her words of keeping her doors open which is a rare qualities of our leaders,he encouraged Hon. Nkoyo Otu to be the doer of her words.

In the same spirit of sportsmanship, other leaders of political parties,stakeholders, etc, also pledged their support to the administration of His Excellency and promised to work together with the Special Adviser to ensure a more unified and stable governance in Cross River State.
