The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has reminded intending pilgrims that they have only seven days left to complete their registration and data uploading for the 2027 Hajj exercise.
The commission fixed September 26, 2026 as the deadline for the submission and uploading of prospective pilgrims’ data, urging those yet to complete the process to do so before the deadline.
NAHCON said the timely submission of accurate pilgrim information is necessary for effective planning and coordination of the 2027 Hajj operation with the relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia.
The commission also warned that the deadline would not be extended, urging state pilgrims’ welfare boards, agencies, commissions, tour operators and other stakeholders to ensure that all required information is submitted on time.
Intending pilgrims are advised to ensure that their personal and travel details are accurate and that required documentation and payments are properly completed through authorised channels.
NAHCON recently disclosed that Nigeria’s 2027 Hajj allocation remains at 50,000 pilgrims, comprising 35,000 government-sponsored pilgrims and 15,000 slots for licensed tour operators, after Saudi Arabia declined Nigeria’s request for additional slots.
The commission has therefore urged intending pilgrims to act promptly and rely only on official NAHCON channels and authorised state pilgrimage bodies for registration and payment information.
NAHCON also warned members of the public against individuals demanding extra money in exchange for promises of guaranteed Hajj slots, advising intending pilgrims to make payments only through approved channels.
Prospective pilgrims can access the official NAHCON registration portal for the registration process.
