MEDA CRS Partners with Office of SA to the President

MEDA DG Great Ogban take another step to create job in Cross River State

The Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency (MEDA) CRS in partnership with the office of the SA to the President (OVP) on Digital and Creative Economy is set to raise 6000 entrepreneurs in the State as part of its efforts to uncover  talents and encourage creatives in the country.

MEDA DG, Mr Great Ogban made this known in Calabar on Friday at \’a Digital and Creative Economy Stakeholders Roundtable Discussion’ organised by the Office of the Vice President in partnership with the Cross River Government.

In his address, Ogban lauded Mr Fegho Umunubo, SA to the President (OVP) on Digital and Creative Economy for his commitment to the creative sector, adding that the stakeholders meeting which was organised to enable creatives share the challenges they encounter and also access the opportunities in the sector is in line with the passion of his Excellency Sen (Prince) Bassey Otu for the creative and agricultural sector.

Furthermore, the MEDA DG said his office which is positioned as an agency to identify talents, create jobs and teach the business side of the talents, is set to relaunch a Cross Entrepreneurship Development Centre at a  registration fee of 10,000, adding that the partnership with the office of the SA is crucial for the necessary empowerment and support.

During the roundtable discussion on \’the future of Creative and Digital in Shaping the Economy’ Mr Justin Beshel, the Commissioner for Science and Technology and Jacob Kingsley Ekpe, SA to the Governor on Creative Arts, said the government of His Excellency, Senator (Prince) Bassey Otu is committed to promoting and supporting creatives in the state.
