Cross River North Stakeholders Vow Full Support for Governor Otu’s 2027 Re-election Bid Following Successful Grassroots Engagement Tour

Political stakeholders in Cross River State’s northern senatorial district have pledged their commitment to support the re-election of Governor Bassey Otu in 2027.

The stakeholders, under the aegis of Northern Senatorial District Leadership for Growth and Development, made this known during a sensitization and stakeholder engagement tour of the round the 5 local government areas of the northern senatorial district.

The team leader, High Chief Tony Udiandeye, emphasized that the tour aimed to strengthen grassroots engagement, consolidate political unity, and mobilize stakeholders for the governor’s re-election bid, while reinforcing the administration’s commitment to inclusiveness.

They stated that Governor Otu’s administration has taken governance to another level since assuming office in 2023, with developments and innovations in health, education, finance, employment, and the state’s economy.

While on a visit to the royal father’s in Yala local government area, the Paramount Ruler of Yala, His Royal Majesty, Ogamode Eje Ipoule expressed appreciation to the Cross River State Government for ongoing and proposed road infrastructure projects as well as rural development interventions across the Northern Senatorial District.

They pledged their support to the Otu led administration while assuring him of the continued support of the Yala people for his people-centered administration.

The tour which also served as a pre-engagenent visit ahead of the governor’s town hall meeting and mega rally in the northern senatorial district had in the delegation prominent political leaders and stakeholders such as Chief Dr. Peter Abang Ojie, Chief Hon. Signor Omang Idiege, Dr. Martins Achadu, Member representing Yala II State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly; Hon. Brian Odey, APC Chairman for Yala Local Government; Hon. Solomon Ogar, Hon. Godwin Odama, Vice Chairman of Council; Chief Hon. Steve Ogbaji, Secretary of Council; Hon. Boniface Okache, Deputy Chief of Staff; Yala Women Leader, Hon. Mrs. Theresa Ngozi Ezama, Hon. Maurice Evie Wayas, Chief Udo Emmanuel Udo, among others.
