Ukraine has launched another wave of long-range drone attacks targeting facilities linked to Russia’s largest online retailer, Wildberries, with two of the company’s warehouses reportedly coming under attack overnight.
According to Russian authorities, a drone strike sparked a fire at a Wildberries warehouse in the Penza region, injuring one person and forcing the evacuation of more than 200 employees. Regional Governor Oleg Melnichenko said emergency responders quickly moved in to contain the blaze.
Wildberries confirmed the disruption in a statement, saying it had reorganised its logistics operations to minimise delays.
“Logistics chains have been reorganised; the receipt of goods and the dispatch of orders are being carried out at other sites,” the company said.
The latest strike is part of Ukraine’s growing campaign against Russian logistics and infrastructure. In recent weeks, several Wildberries warehouses have been hit by drone attacks, with Kyiv alleging that some of the facilities were being used to support Russia’s military supply chain. Moscow has denied those claims.
The overnight attack came as Russia and Ukraine continued to exchange large-scale missile and drone strikes, underscoring the escalating intensity of the more than four-year conflict.
