The Senator representing Cross River Southern Senatorial District and Cross River State chairman of Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Council, Distinguished Senator Gershom Bassey has on behalf of the PCC Cross River State assured the PDP Presidential Candidate, H.E. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Waziri Adamawa of a resounding victory at the polls of February 2023 and victory for all other PDP Candidates in February and March elections.
He gave this assurance at the inauguration of the PCC on the 12th of November, 2022 at the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign office, former Value Mart, Marian Road, Calabar. In his words, he said, \”I want assure His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar here represented by H.E. Sen. Liyel Imoke that we all would work hard to ensure victory for PDP in the February and March elections.\”
Also speaking, former Governor of Cross River State and DGG Operations national Presidential Campaign Council, Sen. Liyel Imoke admonished that all hands must be on deck to deliver PDP in the first elections of February because according to him, only then can we be assured of victory in subsequent elections.
All members of the PCC unanimously agreed to work for the victory of the PDP in all elections. Party Leaders, Stakeholders and party faithfuls turned up in flying colours at the inauguration with heightened anticipation. This has effectively put paid to rumours of dissenting voices against Atiku\’s candidature.
