Funke Akindele, a Nollywood icon and philanthropist has added another feather to her cap as she takes on the role of UNAIDS National Goodwill Ambassador for Nigeria.  The announcement, made during a formal ceremony in Lagos, underscores Akindele’s commitment to using her platform to champion social causes, particularly those affecting vulnerable populations.

Funke, fondly known as “Jenifa” from her groundbreaking TV series, expressed her gratitude and excitement about the new role. “It’s an honor to join UNAIDS in their mission to end the AIDS epidemic and create a healthier society.
