A young man has reportedly been arrested in Owerri, Imo State, following allegations that he threw his girlfriend’s younger sister from a storey building after she allegedly rejected his sexual advances.
The incident reportedly occurred in the Mbonu Ejike area of Owerri, sparking concern over the circumstances surrounding the attack.
According to reports, the victim was left at home with her sister’s boyfriend while her sister was away on a trip. The suspect allegedly made sexual advances towards the young woman, but she reportedly turned him down.
He was subsequently accused of throwing her from the storey building following her rejection.
The Imo State Police Command is said to have taken the suspect into custody as investigations continue to establish exactly what happened.
The victim’s current condition and further details surrounding the incident have not been independently confirmed.
The incident has renewed concerns about the safety of young women and the importance of respecting personal boundaries and consent.
The suspect remains an alleged offender, and the allegations are yet to be tested in court.
