Police Clarify Case of 10-Year-Old Girl Found Within Station’s Area of Jurisdiction
A 10-year-old girl identified as Peace Usua Udom was brought to a police station by concerned citizens after she was found within the area covered by the station.
According to the Police, the girl was received at the station and attended to by officers before being transferred to the Social Welfare Department on September 5, 2026, for appropriate care, protection and custody.
Police Clarify Alleged Rape Report
The Police have clarified that no report or allegation of rape was made or presented to the station when the girl was initially received.
Consequently, the Police said the alleged rape did not form part of the initial report brought to their attention at the time the child was found and handed over to authorities.
The clarification is intended to provide an accurate account of the circumstances surrounding the girl’s arrival at the police station and the subsequent referral to the Social Welfare Department for protection and appropriate care.
