Rep. Bassey Akiba Lauds Gov. Bassey Otu, pledges continued synergy

The Honourable Member, representing Calabar Municipality/Odukpani Federal Constituency, Rep. Bassey Akiba, has commended Governor Bassey Otu for launching the groundbreaking ceremony for a 365 kilometer railway to link the southern and northern parts of the state.

In a release, Rep. Bassey Akiba said the railway line will facilitate the easy intra-state movement and serve as an evacuation corridor for goods and services within international borders.

He praised the governor\’s vision for 365 kilometer railway infrastructural development and underscored the importance of such projects in transforming the state\’s economy.

The federal legislator pledged continued support and synergy, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the development of Cross River State.

Aimed to connect the southern part of the state with the north, the railway project is a Public-Private Partnership funded initiative driven by Messers Reinhoke LLC in partnership with the Cross River State Government.
