Abi LGA Chairman Egbala Bassey, Hosts Stakeholders, Advocates Unity, Endorses Tinubu And Gov. Otu For Second Term

 

The Executive Chairman of Abi Local Government Council, Hon. Egbala Bassey, on Saturday, March 19, 2025, hosted a high-level stakeholders’ meeting at the council secretariat in Itigidi.

Themed “Abi Leadership of Peace and Progress,” the gathering provided an opportunity for leaders and stakeholders to engage in robust discussions, assess the performance of the current administration, and chart a unified path forward for the local government.

During the meeting, a vote of confidence was passed in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Bassey Otu, endorsing them for a second term in office. The motion was moved by Rt. Hon. Alex Egbona, Ph.D, and seconded by Rt. Hon. Davies Etta. The endorsement was a gesture of appreciation for the President’s impactful projects, notably the Ebom-Ndibe Bridge, and Governor Otu’s “People First” governance approach.

Hon. Egbala Bassey used the occasion to call for greater unity and collaboration among leaders, emphasizing that only through a united front can meaningful development be sustained in Abi LGA.
