The governor of Cross River State, Senator Prince Edet Bassey Otu has called on key players in corporate Nigeria to take advantage of opportunties in the state and leverage on them for business.

The governor made the call in Lagos on Friday, November 3, 2023 while addressing a cross section of top business executives during a breakfast meeting ahead of the 2023 Carnival Calabar & Festival.

The breakfast meeting, hosted by the Gabe Onah led Cross River Carnival Commission and Mary Ephraim led Okhma Events, lead marketers of the carnival, gave top management officials of multinationals a first hand experience of Cross River state. Mr. Gabe Onah, expressed the state government\’s willingness to grow the tourism sector, calling on investors to see the state as an investment destination of choice .

In attendance were CEOs of blue chip companies, an elder statesman & leader of Seagull Band, Senator Florence Ita Giwa, and the wife of the former governor of Cross River State, Mrs Donald Duke, who is the leader of Bayside Band.
The marketing drive on the Lagos trip is a part of calculated efforts by the governor to foster public-private partnership and attract investors to the state.

On the carnival this year, he boasted that there\’s a lot to wet the taste buds of visitors, inviting them to harness natural resources and explore the state\’s rich tourism and historical assets.
