The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, UDOM Emmanuel has approved scholarship scheme for 500 poor intelligent students of Akwa Ibom origin studying in public tertiary institutions.

The N200,000 scholarship for each student was approved today during the State Executive Council meeting presided over by the Governor at Government House, Uyo.
Mr. Udom Emmanuel directs the Ministry of Education and the State Scholarships Board to come up with a transparent process to determine the eligibility and criteria for selection of beneficiaries and publish their names.
