The Secretary of the Investigative Panel set up by the Management of the University of Calabar to investigate various allegations bordering on official misconduct, sexual harassment, abuse of office, Barr. Gabriel Orok has confirmed to newsmen that Professor Cyril Ndifon will be appearing on Tuesday, September 12th, 2023 at the Council Chamber of the Institution before its panel by 9:00Am.

The Lecturer, a Professor and suspended Dean of the Faculty of Law has recently made headlines for alleged sexual harassment, official misconduct, and abuse of office which are against the extant rules and regulations of the University of Calabar.
It could be recalled that on August 14th, some students of the Faculty of Law under the aegis of LAWSAN were led by their President, Comr. Otu Benedict protesting the sundry misdemeanors and improprieties in the Faculty before the Administrative block of the institution.

Assuaging the protesting students, the Vice Chancellor of the Institution, Prof. Florence Banku Obi after listening to them, asked them to return to their classes while assuring them of immediate action.
Part of the immediate actions of the University Management had the Dean suspended while a Committee with membership from NGOs including NBA\’s constituted to investigate the weighty allegations against the Professor of Law.
