On the 3rd day of September, 2025 the Ammeo Community Development Initiative (Ammeo Nation), which is emanated from Akpet Central, Biase Loxal Government Area, led by the President, Mr. Okorie Assem, paid a courtesy visit to their illustrious daughter, Dr. Mrs. Chukwuka I. Icha, upon her emergence as the Registrar of the University of Calabar, Calabar . The delegation aimed to congratulate Dr. Mrs. Icha on her remarkable achievement and brief her on the goals and objectives of Ammeo Nation.
The visit highlighted the Ammeo pride and commitment to their collaborative development initiatives. Mr. Okorie Assem extended warm congratulations, highlighting Dr. Mrs. Icha’s hard work and divine elevation.
Hon. Edwin Ekpenyong, the Treasurer of Ammeo Nation, expressed gratitude for Dr. Mrs. Icha’s acceptance and emphasized the love and admiration Ammeo Nation has for her, recalling the presence of Ammeo at her thanksgiving service. He urged the registrar to utilize her position to make Ammeo people proud as the first Ammeo registrar and ensure that Ammeo people are carried along in admission and employment opportunities within the university community.
Hon. Mrs. Mary James Akpet JP, a BOT member of Ammeo Nation, offered a prayer and presented a portrait to Dr. Mrs. Chukwuka on behalf of the Ammeo people, congratulating her on her new role. Notable dignitaries attended, including Ekpo Adem Esq, Legal Adviser; Mr. Inang Patrick, Youth Leader; Ms. Lucy Onda, Women Leader; Hon.
