The Amon Kingdom of Biase LGA, Cross River State, respectfully visited the esteemed Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Helen Isamoh.
Hon. Bassey Sunday, Umon South Ward Leader of the Ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), who led the delegation, introduced his members, which included individuals from various political parties, ranging from the APC, PDP, Labor party etc. Following this, they wholeheartedly congratulated the Commissioner for her well-deserved appointment. He articulated the purpose of their visit, which aimed to underscore the significance of political inclusivity and unity within the community.
He also emphasized the necessity of creating opportunities for the good people of Biase, adding that the visit is in three perspective, which represent 3 Ts and C. First T, was to thank almighty God for the privilege to gather together. The second T, was to thank His Excellency, Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu, (Sweet Prince), the amiable Governor of CRS, for finding Dr. Helen worthy in connection, in tandem with her capacity to represent the people of Cross River State and Biase at the executive council.
Continuing, the Umon South Ward Leader congratulated the Honourable Commissioner, and equally thanked the entire Biase as an entity, for the collective efforts, steadfastness, and the synergy built toward the elections that has produced the achievement today.
In conclusion, Hon. Bassey prayed for God\’s guidance, urging the Commissioner to ensure an all inclusive governance in discharge of her humanitarian assignments, especially for the good and peace loving people of Umon Kingdom. He registered the permission of those who could not make for the visit, due to some exigences.
During the visit, Comr. Prince Ojoi Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria, Biase Chapter presented a portrait to the Honourable Commissioner. \”On behalf of Amon Youths and in diaspora we present this to you. We will continue to support you as a young leader. As a young people also, we will tour the nook and cranny of Umon, knowing that we have you at the helm of affair, Congratulations Ma\” The Youth Council Chairman added.
Dr. Helen warmly welcomed her constituents to her office and expressed her profound gratitude to each and every one of them for their unwavering support. She conveyed her joy and appreciation for the fact that her people holds her in high regards, as expressed by their visit, words and action.
She further expressed her appreciation to the exceptional Governor of Cross River state for recognizing her capabilities and appointing her to this position. She pledged her total commitment to ensure that all dividends meant for people of Biase will not elude them.
High point of the visit was presentation of portrait, bottles of wines, including crate of malt, as part of culture of Amon in honouring a leader.
