Dr. Martha Agba, has extended her warm congratulations to the newly elected national officers of the All Progressives Congress following the successful conclusion of its 2026 National Convention.
In a statement released shortly after the event, Agba described the emergence of the new leadership as a reflection of the party’s internal democracy and commitment to strengthening its structure ahead of future political engagements. She expressed confidence that the new officers would steer the party toward greater unity, stability, and progress.
Agba also commended Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his remarks at the convention, particularly his emphasis on increased inclusion of women and persons living with disabilities in governance and party affairs. She noted that such a stance demonstrates visionary leadership and aligns with global best practices in promoting equity and representation.
According to her, “The President’s commitment to broadening participation within the party is both timely and commendable. Women and persons living with disabilities have long played vital roles in nation building, and it is only right that they are given more opportunities to contribute at higher levels.”
