Apiapum Community Secondary School; Parent call for Urgent intervention

An eyewitness from Apiapum in Obubra local government, Cross River State, has called on the government of the state to come to their aid regarding the misconduct happening in the aforementioned secondary school, Apiapum.

During a school hour, a video was sent to calabargist media correspondence from a community occupant of Apiapum in Obubra LGA with bitterness showing students with wood and cassava returning from the farm. These students were wearing school uniforms, and their socks were intact.

The eyewitness made this known in a video showing how much load these children were carrying, and he described the distance as not being close. He also stated clearly that during school hours, children are seen in bush tracks returning to assist a teacher in getting food items from their farms. This is not a new development in Apiapum, which has gotten deep with the children as they see this platform as a means of staying away from classes.

The commissioner for education, Hon. Stephen Odey, should please call on the attention of the school administrators and set rules on issues like this, as Apiapum may not be the only community or obubra local government that is carrying out such an act.

This is the season of sweetness, as such issues in education and rehabilitation are on the governor\’s agenda.

Attached are the videos sent.
