In an Application exparte granted today, His Excellency, Governor Ben Ayade Governor of Cross River State and APC Senatorial Candidate for Cross River North in the February 25, 2023 General Elections has been granted orders by the The Election Tribunal sitting in Calabar, Cross River State in Petition No: EPT/CR/SEN/02/2023. 27/03/2023 the following orders;
- Leave to serve Senator Jarigbe Agom the petition by substituted means.
- Leave to inspect all the INEC documents used in the conduct of the election of Cross River North Senatorial District on 25th February 2023.
- Order directing INEC to make available to the Petitioners all necessary documents used in the conduct of the election of Cross River North Senatorial District Election.
His Excellency in his petition has demonstrated very lucidly all the infractions and irregularities that marred the election, particularly over-voting and mutilation of election results in favour of Senator Jarigbe and he is now on the strength of this evidence seeking to be declared winner of the election.
