Board Of Trustees Assumes Control Of De Norsemen Kclub International AMID Leadership Crisis

Written by calabarGist

The Board of Trustees (BoT) of De Norsemen Kclub International (DNKI) has formally assumed full management control of the organisation following what it described as “recent and unwarranted developments” that have threatened the peace and stability of the club.

In a Public Notice dated 12 February 2026 and issued from the organisation’s international headquarters at 7 Aba Road, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, the BoT announced the dissolution of the Norsemen Executive Council (NEC), the Norsemen Advisory Council (NAC), and other ancillary bodies.

The decision, according to the Board, arose in the aftermath of the DNKI International Election held in Port Harcourt and subsequent internal disputes that escalated tensions within the organisation.
Announcing the development, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Chief Akpabio Esien, stated that the measure was necessary to restore order and protect the integrity of the club.

“Following the International Election of De Norsemen Kclub International held in Port Harcourt and the recent unwarranted developments that have threatened the peace and stability of our organisation, the Board of Trustees has taken the difficult but necessary decision to dissolve the Norsemen Executive Council, the Norsemen Advisory Council, and other ancillary bodies,” he said.

Chief Esien emphasised that the Board’s intervention was temporary and aimed at safeguarding the unity and corporate existence of DNKI.

“This step is not punitive but corrective. It has been taken solely to safeguard the unity, peace, and integrity of De Norsemen Kclub International. The Board has therefore temporarily assumed full management control of the organisation pending further directives,” he added.

The BoT also issued a strong advisory to security agencies and members of the public to disregard any correspondence or directives purportedly issued in the name of DNKI by any dissolved organ or individual.
The Secretary of the Board of Trustees, Mr Gospel Dienye, reinforced this position, stating:

“Security agencies and the general public are hereby advised to disregard any correspondence purporting to emanate from De Norsemen Kclub International, except those officially issued by the Board of Trustees, until further notice.”

Observers note that the development signals a significant shift in the governance structure of the international fraternity, with the BoT now serving as the sole recognised authority pending a resolution of the internal crisis.

While the Board did not disclose specific details of the disputes that followed the election, insiders suggest that the move is intended to prevent further fragmentation and restore confidence among members across various chapters.

The Board assured members that steps would be taken to stabilise the organisation and chart a clear path forward in line with its founding principles.

Calabargist will continue to monitor developments within De Norsemen Kclub International as events unfold.
