Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedele responded to the statistics by urging traffic officers to incorporate digital methods for better traffic management in the state.

She emphasized that digital platforms would allow for real-time traffic reporting, streamline management processes, and improve data collection.

“We need to align our system with modern realities, embracing innovation, collaboration, and public trust. Effective traffic management today goes beyond enforcing compliance—it requires data-driven strategies,” Salako-Oyedele said.

She challenged TRACE to lead the way in adopting innovative approaches, highlighting the potential of technology to transform traffic management and data collection. She encouraged collaboration with tech companies for solutions, including mobile apps that would enable citizens to report traffic incidents in real-time,” Salako-Oyedele said.
