Calabar, March 30, 2025 – The Cross River State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has celebrated Dr. Martha Agba on the occasion of her birthday, acknowledging her dedication to the party and her contributions to governance and social development.

In a statement signed by the party’s Assistant Publicity Secretary, Hon. Achu Moses Ojang, the APC described Dr. Agba as a committed party member whose influence has strengthened the party at both state and national levels.
“Dr. Agba has consistently demonstrated her unwavering support for the APC and has played a key role in mobilizing grassroots support for the party. Her efforts in advocating for gender equality, youth involvement in politics, and social development have not gone unnoticed,” the statement read.
As the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Cross River State on Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Agba has spearheaded various initiatives aimed at improving the lives of citizens. She has also collaborated with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promote good governance.
A strong advocate for women in leadership, she serves as the State Focal Person for the Progressive Young Women Forum Nigeria and as Deputy Director for the South-South region of the Electoral College Nigeria. Her contributions have positioned her as a key voice in political leadership and empowerment.
Dr. Agba holds a PhD in Public Governance and Leadership, a Master’s degree in International Affairs and Strategic Studies from the Nigerian Defence Academy, and several professional certifications, all of which underscore her commitment to excellence.
The APC also commended Dr. Agba for her role in the 2024 local government elections, where she demonstrated remarkable team spirit and political strategy, despite falling short at the final stage. Her resilience and dedication to party unity were highlighted as instrumental in the party’s overall success.
“As a political leader, Dr. Agba has shown courage by contesting for key positions, including the Federal House of Representatives and local government chairmanship. Her commitment to public service and governance is commendable,” the party added.
The party, along with its members and supporters, wished Dr. Agba a happy birthday, praying for continued success in her political and professional endeavors.
