The Cross River State Government has reiterated its commitment to supporting groups and individuals investing in the state’s healthcare sector. The Honorable Commissioner for Health, Eld. Dr. Henry Egbe Ayuk, represented by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Nursing, Mr Coco-Bassey Esu made this assurance during the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Calabar Nightingale Lions club health post/ community outreach center at Etak Ukana community, Akpabuyo.

The project, a pet initiative of the Lion Club International, Calabar Nightingale Lions Club, aims to reduce mortality and neonatal deaths in the community. The government has pledged its support for the initiative.

The event highlights the government’s commitment to improving healthcare services in Cross River State and its collaboration with NGOs and community leaders to achieve this goal.
