In the usual supportive gesture of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to ensure that children across the state are reached and properly immunized with potent vaccines, the National Agency and the Organization in a bid to further strengthen the immunization exercise in the state has donated more items for the onward distribution to the 18LGAs in the state.

Donating the items on behalf of the WHO State Coordinator, Mr. Santus Agba commended the efforts of the state government and the activities of the health agencies in fulfilling all necessary requirements in terms of proper storage and distribution of the vaccines with the assurance of ensuring a timely/prompt supply of vaccines when the needs arises.

Deaconess Mrs Abasioffiong Offiong, the director general of the cross river state primary health care development agency thanked the leadership of WHO as well as the NPHCDA for always having cross river state at heart and making the process of the state getting her vaccines quite seamless.

\”From the very first day of my appointment as DG CRSPHCDA, the synergy between the agency and the NPHCDA, WHO, as well as other partners is commendable, within a month we\’ve received vaccines twice and more are coming. I don\’t take this for granted and as a state we\’ll continue to do whatever is required of us to ensure that we get regular supply of vaccines to serve our people. These vaccines will immediately be distributed across the 18LGAs of the state so they can serve the purpose why they were donated to the state.\”

Items donated to Cross River Immunization unit includes;
5000 Copies of Vaccines Monitoring Charts, 250 Temperature Monitoring Charts, 2000 Copies of REW Micro Planning Templates, all AEFI Monitoring and Reporting Forms and on the other hand, the NPHCDA also supplied the state with over 100,000 doses of the Covid-19 Vaccines,15,000 doses of ROTA Vaccines as well as 19,200 doses of Tetanus Toxoid all In a bid to improve the vaccination coverage of Cross River Immunization scheme
