The Cross River State Head of Service has approved new postings for several senior officers across ministries, departments, and agencies in the state. The postings, aimed at strengthening service delivery and ensuring efficiency in the public service, were officially announced through a circular signed by the Permanent Secretary, Emmanuel Egban, FCPA, FCAI, on behalf of the Head of Service.
According to the circular, the following key changes were made:

Edem E. Ekpenyong, Director of Admin, moved from LGSC to the Office of the Head of Service.

Obeten O. Enang, Director of Admin, redeployed from Head of Service to Auditor-General (State).

Augustine E. Nyong, Director of Admin, moved from Auditor-General (State) to Chief of Staff.

Johnson O. Isong, Director of Admin, redeployed from EXCO Secretariat to LGSC.

Victoria O. Adima, Deputy Director of Admin, redeployed from SSG’s Office to Head of Service (Head, Wellness Programmes, SWO).

Baje Achu Ayuk, Asst. Director, moved within EXCO Secretariat as Deputy Secretary.

The circular directed that all handovers and takeovers should be concluded on or before Friday, September 26, 2025. It also warned that refusal to proceed on posting would attract sanctions in line with Rule 03401 (III) of the Public Service Rules (PSR).
The Head of Service reaffirmed government’s commitment to repositioning the state civil service for effective governance and service delivery, urging all officers to take their new assignments seriously.
