The Cross River State Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency (CRSMEDA) has commenced a verification exercise for loan applicants throughout the State. In collaboration with Sterling Bank, this loan program aims to support both existing and start- up businesses.
Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of MEDA, Great Ogban, emphasized the significance of this verification process, noting it aligns with standard Loan process.
The Verification Team, led by Barr. Ikpi Itam Okoi, Manager of Investment, Funding, and Credit, along with Mr. Okon Ebi, Senior Investment, Funding, and Credit Officer, will evaluate the businesses of 1,520 loan applicants over the next two weeks. This initiative also provides an opportunity for applicants to open personal savings accounts with Sterling Bank, the designated fund managers.
Small business owners in Cross River State who are interested in accessing this loan facility can register with the Cross River State Enterprise Development Center (CRS-EDC) for a ten-day hands-on training program. Successful participants will receive the EDC certificate, which is required to qualify for the loan.
