CRSMEDA to Empower 5,000 Youths with YOU LEAP Program

The Cross River State Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency (CRSMEDA) is pleased to announce the launch of its new youth empowerment initiative, the People First Youth Local Entrepreneurship and Acceleration Programme (YOU LEAP). This transformative program is set to equip 5,000 young people across the state with in-demand digital, technological, and artisanal skills.

According to Great Ogban, Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of CRSMEDA, the YOU-LEAP program is designed to empower youths in both urban and rural areas to become the architects of their own economic destinies.

“This is more than a program; it’s a strategic initiative to build a sustainable future for our state by investing in its most valuable asset—our youth,” Ogban stated during a test run of the program’s fashion and styling segment.
