The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Youth Mobilization, His Youthfulness Comr. Daniel Obo Jnr, paid a courtesy visit to Okoi Ofem Obono-Obla, former Chairman of Nigeria’s Special Presidential Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Property, at his residence in Ugep community.
Comr. Obo and his entourage were warmly received by Obono-Obla, with the meeting beginning on a cordial note as both sides exchanged pleasantries. The discussion later centered on issues of political leadership and youth development in Cross River State.
In his remarks, Comr. Obo expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality and acknowledged Obono-Obla’s contributions to leadership in Nigeria. He noted that such interactions provide valuable guidance for his own leadership journey, while also seeking advice on critical areas of governance and youth mobilization.
In response, Obono-Obla shared insights from his leadership experience and reaffirmed his full support for Comr. Obo’s political growth. He emphasized the importance of giving young people opportunities in leadership, stating: “Elders will grow old, but the young ones must also be given room to lead.”
He concluded by pledging his continuous support for Comr. Obo’s advancement in leadership and politics, encouraging him to remain steadfast in promoting youth inclusion and good governance.
